Marin Schools

Marin County leads the way in education with a diverse group of both public and private schools.  The well-regarded public schools take the top spot in a national review of education according to a study by Forbes magazine.  The article indicates that “[Marin] offers the best education in the country, with a 96.8% graduation rate and a list-topping SAT score of 1,133.”  Can't beat that.  To learn more, click here.

Accredited private schools in Marin are as varied as the landscape that surrounds them.  A fully democratic school sits alongside a simple one room school house and next to a progressive school set in a community-oriented environment.  The schools are as unique as the people of Marin that created them.

There are Waldorf schools and Montessori schools.  There are schools were children from different grades share one classroom.  There are schools with traditional single grade classrooms. There are alternative schools.  The choices are here.  Each family is different and will seek out the right place for their child's education.
